Making a quick
button in Photoshop |

- File->New (RGB, size of button)
- Select All (ctrl-A)
- Select->Save Selection (rename as button mask)
- Image->Canvas size (add width and depth of drop)
- New Layer - button
- Select->Load selection-button mask
- Fill with color or texture
- New Layer - shadow (make sure this level is below button)
- Select->Load selection-button mask
- Fill with black
- Type tool - Create text (will create new layer)
- Position text
- Duplicate Text Layer as Text drop
- Filters->Offset Text drop layer 1 pixel in direction of drop
- Set Offset Text layer opacity to 40%
- File->Save file (ctrl-S)
- Link button and type layers
- Merge linked
- Filters->Unsharp mask 96, 2.6 0
- Flatten Image
- Image->Mode->Indexed (exact color)
- File->export as gif
- File->Close flattened file without saving (ctrl-W)
